Danny was born a twin and the 7th child to Daniel Sr. and Francis (nee Topinka) McCaw. He was predeceased by his 3 sisters Pat Keeler, Margaret Norman Card, Madaline Armstrong (Robinson); brother-in-law Norman Card, Leigh Armstrong, Arnott Robinson, Dale Armstrong, Tom Keeler, and Alex Szell and a sister-in-law Anne McCaw. Left to morn his passing and cherish his memories are his sister Muriel Szell ; his brother James McCaw. Danny was born and raised in the Parkin school district south of Whitewood on top of the Pipestone Valley. He had a passion for farming and raising purebred Herford cattle. Him and his two brothers took over the McCaw homestead from their parents and kept it in the McCaw name for 50 plus years.
The cattle and land were dispersed in the mid 1990’s and Danny eventually moved to Whitewood after health issues eventually made farming impossible. He carried on his passion for tilling the land while in town and enjoyed his yard, flowers and garden. Regardless of being a quiet man, after suffering a stroke Danny could be found enjoying a cup of coffee with family and friends at Archies or the Whitewood Inn. Danny’s quiet, loving and simple personality along with his charming smile and sparkling brown eyes will be truly missed by his family and friends.
A graveside service was held July 8th at the Whitewood Cemetery with family and Rev. Barb Wilkins. Urn bearer Wacey McCaw.
