John Seel, late of Lipton, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, in Ituna Care Home, at the age of 83. He was born in Lipton on April 13, 1942, where he lived all his life.
John was predeceased by his parents, George and Jean Seel. He is survived by his daughter Michelle; brother Arthur (Ann); sister Margaret (Richard) Schultz and many relatives and friends.
John loved sports, especially football and curling. He was a devoted Roughrider fan, rarely missing a game and loved sharing his enthusiasm with others. He could probably be heard cheering blocks away when they were winning. His wardrobe consisted of many, many green T-shirts, jackets and even socks!
John enjoyed his garden, woodworking, visiting and watching sports. John was a member of the Lipton Lions Club for many years, enjoying the company of the other members. He was also a member of the Legion. He fought his battle with cancer with courage, never complaining, right until the end. He will be missed by many.
A private graveside service will be held at a future date.
