Roberta Margaret Rohr, 81 years, of Yorkton, SK, died peacefully in her sleep of heart failure on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025.
Roberta was born on Jan. 27, 1944, in Melville, SK, to Robert John Craft and Margaret Helen Bently. She was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and God. She was well known for working as a hairdresser at Pete and Lil’s in Melville, SK.
Roberta first married Richard of Melville, SK, in 1962, with whom she had two sons, Robert Craig and Clint. She lost Richard to cancer on Dec. 17, 2006. Roberta was blessed to find love a second time and married Robert Rohr on Nov.13, 2010, sharing 15 wonderful years going on many travel adventures and exploring the world. She had a unique spirit that touched all those around her.
Roberta is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Rohr; stepson Evan Rohr and daughter Sena Rohr; stepdaughter Veronica Rohr and daughter Sloane Finn; her son, Clint (Alanna) Read, grandchildren Sherry Read, Cian Morrison, Parker Read, Spenser Read, Brian (now Autumn) Read, Mathew Read, William Read; brother-in-law David Burack; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Richard Read; son Robert Craig Read; sister Florence Burack; as well as some extended family.
A prayer service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at Matthews Funeral Home, Melville, followed by the funeral service on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, at St. Mark’s Orthodox Church in Yorkton, with Rev. Fr. Rodian Luciuk and Rev. Fr. Andrew Piasta officiating. Moira Stoll was the cantor and John Bodnaryk was the cross bearer. Interment took place in the Holy Assumption of St. Mary Cemetery, near Rhein, SK, with Clint Read, Alanna Read, Evan Rohr, William Read, Parker Read and Spenser Read acting as pallbearers.
