Vivian Uhll of Melville, SK, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Vivian was born April 6, 1935, the second child of eight born to Len and Clara Davis. She went to school in Melville, then worked at the bowling alley and White Lunch Café in Melville, then at the sanatorium in Fort Qu’Appelle. On Sept. 29, 1953, she married the love of her life, Harry Uhll. They were blessed with two children, Katherine in 1954 and Warren in 1969.
Vivian and Harry lived in, and around, Melville and operated a trailer park for many years. Vivian loved to hunt, fish and camp with family and friends. Church and her Lord were very important to Vivian, and she was active in many areas, but her love of the music was utmost.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Harry; her parents, Len and Clara Davis; brother Dick and sisters Pat, Dot and Sandy. She leaves to mourn her passing: her children, Katherine (Hal) and Warren; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; siblings Al, Dee and Eileen; special friend Florence; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Vivian’s funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, at Matthews Funeral Home, Melville, with Pastor Rick Gibson officiating. Interment took place in Koenigsberg Cemetery in the Melville district.
