It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Sharon, who went by her middle name Elaine, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Brandon, MB at the age of 80 years.
Elaine was born on July 14, 1944 to John and Wilma Lockert in Qu’Appelle, SK. She was the 5th of 6 children. Elaine was known for her unconditional love, great sense of humor and joyous spirit, particularly her love for dancing and a good joke.
Elaine’s life was marked by her remarkable resilience, strength and nurturing nature. She provided not only encouragement, but also support to everyone around her, embodying patience and understanding in all her relationships.
Elaine will be forever missed by her son, Leighton Hardy (Tammy), and son-in-law Donald Trollope. Lovingly adored by grandchildren: Trace Trollope (Marissa), Brittney Trollope, Logan, Colton and Keigan Hardy and great-granddaughter Mila Trollope. She is also survived by her
siblings: John (Germaine) Lockert, Allen (Phyllis) Lockert and Darlene (Dennis) Werner; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews throughout Saskatchewan.
Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lionel Hardy, their daughter Colleen (née Hardy) Trollope and her brothers, Bill and Robert Lockert.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Sharon Elaine Hardy’s memory, honoring her spirit and enduring legacy.
