MUNTAIN – Jean Eloise was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Lemberg, SK, to Nick and Mary (Sikora) Grendus.
She married Joe Muntain on Oct. 1, 1938, and they lived in Melville until Joe’s passing in 1989. Jean then moved to Regina in 1990, where she lived until 2013 when she moved to Morris Lodge in Bangor. In 2015 Jean moved to the Centennial Care Home, where she resided
until her peaceful passing on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at the age of 97 years.
Jean was predeceased by her parents; brothers, John and Kaczmar; sisters, Joy (Lawrence) Owen and Alice (Harry) Saxon; stepsister, Ann (Julius) Kulovitz; husband, Joe and son, Robert (Bernice Reiger).
She is survived by her brother, Ted (Eileen) of Surrey, BC; son, Glenn (Monique) of Esterhazy; and grandchildren, Sandra (Owen) Hamm of Winnipeg, MB, Doug (Britt) Muntain of Gimli, MB, Richard (Lory) Muntain of Pinawa, MB, Simone (Brad) Tocher of Esterhazy and Rob (Jenny) Muntain of Regina, SK.
Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
