Peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters, Lance passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the age of 72.
Lance leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Jacckie; and daughters, Taylore and Robbin (Cory). He also leaves behind his two grandsons, Parker and Aiden, who loved, admired and enjoyed spending time with him.
Lance grew up in Melville, the oldest of two boys to David and Wilda McMahon. He started his working career as a brakeman for the CNR and kept a love of trains and the railroad all his life. He was proud of the provincial records he set for running in the 1960s, was an avid curler and loved playing and watching hockey.
In 1973, Lance and Jacckie moved to Vancouver, B.C. where they built their life, family and careers.
Lance was known for his enthusiastic personality and positive attitude. He had a kind and generous spirit with a passion for helping, encouraging and guiding anyone in need.
Having touched so many lives, Lance will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him. While he may be gone, he is forever loved and never forgotten.
