On Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, we said goodbye to our loving Colleen Annette Gawryluik (nee Dychko), an amazing strong person whose life was defined by compassion, resilience, and a deep love for others.
Born in Yorkton, SK, on August 7, 1974, Colleen spent her years building a life full of meaning — from waitressing, to becoming a Dept Manager at Superstore, to the countless moments of joy shared with her family and friends, especially her son Braxton.
Colleen also had a gift and a love for animals, especially for her pets Oscar (cat), Riggs, Chloe, Willow and Jaya (dogs) and those who knew Colleen they will forever carry these memories of her.
Colleen leaves behind one son Braxton Gawryluik; Fiancé Brian Louttit; her Brother Glenn (Carmen) Darichuk; Nephew Brayden Darichuk; Aunts; Uncles; and Cousins, who will continue to honor her legacy. Predeceased by her Father Joe Dychko and Mother Irene Dychko.
The Funeral Service was held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre, Yorkton, Saskatchewan with Rev. Fr. Basil Malowany officiating. Reponses were led by Lorne Stechyshyn and members of the funeral choir. The cross bearer was Braxton Gawryluik. The eulogy was written by Glenn Darichuk and delivered by Ed Dychko. The interment followed in the Trinity Complex Columbarium, Garden of Memories, Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Brayden Darichuk serving as Urn Bearer. Memorial donations in memory of Colleen may be made to your local SPCA in support of animals as gifts of remembrance.
