WASYLIW – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adeline Wasyliw (née Eftoda) on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born on June 18, 1950, Adeline lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and devotion to her family and community. A dedicated nurse throughout her career, she spent many years caring for others, offering comfort, kindness, and support to those in need. Her nursing profession was a natural reflection of the caring person she was, both at work and at home.
Adeline found great joy in gardening, where she nurtured beauty and life with patience and care. She also loved crocheting and sewing, creating handmade treasures for family and friends. Whether tending her garden, working on a crochet project, or sewing something special, she poured love into everything she did.
She was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. Family was the center of her life, and she took immense pride in those she loved. Her kindness, strength, and selflessness touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Adeline leaves behind her beloved children, Michael (Sarah) Wasyliw and Amie Wasyliw; and her cherished grandchildren, Tressa Wasyliw (15) and Alex Wasyliw (13), who brought her endless joy and pride.
She is also survived by her sisters, Diana (Barry) and Judy; her brother Tim (Sandra); her nephews, Tyler and Lynden; and niece Tiffany. She was predeceased by her brother, Mervin, and by her loving parents.
Adeline’s legacy lives on through the care she showed others, the family she cherished, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and generosity. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Karen Kuzek officiating.
