It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don after a long battle with cancer.
Don is survived by his brother and best friend, Wayne; his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Phillip Phayre; his sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Martin Dittrick; brother-in-law Bob Tosczak and sister-in-law Anne Kalaman; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Donald was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth Kalaman; brothers Albert and John, and sister Ethel.
Donald enjoyed the outdoors while farming, tending his cattle, hunting and fishing, but he also made time for his favourite game of horseshoes, winning many, many trophies over the years. Don also loved going to the casino, having lots of luck there.
As per Donald’s request, there will be no funeral service. His final resting place will be in the Whitewood cemetery. We would like to thank the Whitewood Community Health Centre for the care and compassion they provided for Donald during his stay there.
