It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024 at the age of 79 years.
Gary was predeceased by his beloved wife Lynne; parents Jim and Winnie Elder; brothers-in-law Henry (Dick) Cleggett, Ralph Sharpen, Dale Decker, Peter Rohatyn ,Wayne Elliott and Gordon King and sisters-in-law Faith Sharpen and Iris Decker.
Gary is lovingly remembered by his daughter Shelly; sister Alice Cleggett; sisters-in-law Edith Elliott, Lois King, Sandra Rohatyn; brother-in-law Gary (Chris) Elliott; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was born and raised in Balcarres. He farmed all of his life, including grain and livestock, and was actively farming at the time of his death. For many years he was an avid curler and in later years he took pleasure in looking after his yard, especially his garden. Gary was a quiet, down to earth gentleman who enjoyed having a coffee and a visit with neighbors and friends. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
