Born in Esterhazy, Sask. on July 3, 1953. Survived by her father, Gordon (Mara) Kincade; aunt Jean Kincade; and her cat Jenny. She is predeceased by her mother, Elsie Kincade; and by her grandparents, Robert and Annie Kincade.
Donna had a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Library Science from the University of British
Columbia. She was a librarian at Wheatland Regional Library, Saskatoon Public Library, SaskPower and Ontario Hydro Research Division before establishing her information business, Accessible Information Retrieval.
Donna was an active volunteer in the community – Therapeutic Paws of Canada (first with Filia, then Jenny), Canadian Cancer Society, St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre and Brantford Community Health System in the ER Department. She also enjoyed crafts, gardening and travel. Her pets were always very special to her.
Friends were received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N. Brantford, Ont. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, from 6 – 8 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Donna to Purrfect Companions of Norfolk or the charity of your choice.
