On Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, Larry Wiesner passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 62. Larry was born on Aug. 7, 1960 in Fillmore, SK and grew up on his family farm nearby with his parents and three brothers.
Larry was predeceased by his brother, Darren Wiesner (2000); and his father, Hubert Wiesner (2022). Left to cherish his memory are his children, Matthew (Falen), Shianne and Jayden; his grandchildren, Mia, Melody, Kade and Kendra; his mother, Elizabeth Wiesner; his brothers, Kelly (Treena, children Saralyn and Darren) and Dallas (Jenna, children Turner and Rylan); and numerous aunts, cousins and extended family.
Larry lived a very full 62 years. He was an active member in the community. He worked for several years with Enbridge, Bayer Crop Science and eventually became a weed inspector for several Rural Municipalities around Montmartre and Kipling, SK. Larry also assisted with the maintenance and upkeep at Our Lady of Good Help Roman Catholic Cemetery in Mutrie, SK.
Larry loved his kids and his dog Dixie more than anything. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. He also had an interest in foraging and wandering in the wilderness.
The family wants to express their gratitude to Dr. Tsang, Dr. Conway and the staff at the Regina General Hospital Unit 6A for their exceptional care and compassion.
