Irene Sylvia Hoggarth was born in Rosthern April 06, 1945 to parents Tom and Mary Prima.
She attended school in Grenfell where she completed her high school education.
Irene met Gerald Hoggarth June 06, 1964 in Grenfell. Gerald was trying to find his barber, instead he found her. The rest is history. They married May 21, 1966 and settled in Regina where Irene was working at the time at the Medical Arts Clinic.
After living and working in Grenfell for four years they moved back to Regina. Irene then gained employment at the Broadway Medical Clinic where she worked 34 years to retirement.
Beside working, she devoted countless hours volunteering at their parish, performing various duties.
Both Gerald and Irene volunteered at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for 34 years.
Irene was also actively involved with volunteer work at Government House and the Citizens Police Academy.
She loved and lived life to the fullest. Besides spending time with her husband, friends and family, she enjoyed cooking (especially Ukrainian dishes), traveling and gardening. Her garden was always vibrant with many varieties of flowers.
Unfortunately, her time on earth was cut short. She passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the age of 68 years. She left us too soon, but she also left us with many cherished memories, memories that will live on.
