Malcolm Green, beloved husband of Jean, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 5, 2012. Malcolm was predeceased by his parents Fred and Freda Green, his brother David, and his best friend Sam Stankov.
Malcolm’s quick wit and ready smile will forever be cherished by his wife of 44 years, Jean, daughter Lisa (Darwin), daughter Andi (Dwayne), son Dustin (Lisa), daughter Dana and his beloved grandchildren, Whitney, Adam, Macey, Chelsey, Reece, Hunter, Justine, Gavin, Parker, Nathan, Kate, and 2 granddogs Delilah and Olive. Malcolm’s memory will always be in the hearts of his brother Raymond (Joyce), sister-in-law Joanne, sister-in-law Margaret (Jerry), brother-in- law Michael, special family friend June, special aunt Jean, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
Malcolm was born in Liverpool, England and at the age of eight immigrated with his family to Regina. During his school years he worked part time at Canada Safeway then continued a full-time career with Safeway for 17 more years. In 1981, he moved his family to Whitewood where he and Jean operated the Whitewood Locker Plant for 25 years. In 2006, he took the position as the Meat Manager at the Whitewood Co-op.
Malcolm was very proud of his accomplishments as a member of the Whitewood Town Council for six years and as Mayor for the past 12 years. Malcolm was a very devoted family man who enjoyed the simple things in life and chose to live his life in this manner.
In keeping with Malcolm’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Southeast Integrated Care Centre, Bag Service 1, Moosomin, SK, S0G 3N0 as an expression of Malcolm’s family’s gratitude for the personal care given him.
