Date of Birth: April 19, 1953

Date of Death: February 4, 2026

With heavy hearts, the family of Eileen May Yasinski of Saltcoats, beloved wife of Lorne Yasinski, share the news of her passing on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at the Regina General Hospital with her family at her side. She was 72 years of age. Eileen was born to Mike and Lena (nee Tulik) Rudnitski on April 19, 1953, in Canora Hospital, and raised in Buchanan, SK.
Eileen and Lorne were married Dec. 2, 1972, and in January 1973, their life in the hospitality business started with the purchase of the Kuroki Hotel in Kuroki, SK. They made several wonderful friends and built a good reputation over the years in various businesses in Imperial, Dinsmore, Assiniboia, Melfort, Weyburn, Grenfell, and then in employment and retirement in Yorkton and then Saltcoats. After the hotel business, Eileen worked for many years for the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Grenfell and in Yorkton.
Eileen always brought a smile and a good helping of hard work and the truth to anything she was a part of. She was a cherished wife and mother, a wonderful cook, and the best grandma with a magical pantry that was never empty. It is worth noting that Eileen’s Pickled Egg Recipe is still in the #1 spot in many cupboards in kitchens all over. Hundreds of patrons over the years will still recall the best jar of eggs on a counter somewhere. And further to that, there are some that will never have another potato salad and be satisfied ever again. Hers truly was the best.
Mostly, she will be missed by so many for her heart, her love, her humor, her patience and acceptance. A hug from mom cured almost everything.
Eileen was predeceased by brother-in-law Henry Mamer, Brother and sister-in-law Don and Phyllis Yasinski, Parents Mike and Lena Rudnitski, and parents-in-law Mike and Helen Yasinski.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lorne Yasinski, daughter Cassandra (Mason) Bradford (grandchildren Nash and Kamden), son Derek (Rona) Yasinski (grandchildren Aela, K.C., (Ryder), Ron (Nica) (great-grandchildren Elerie and Enzo). Siblings Marlene Mamer, Don (Sharon) Rudnitski, Fedor (Theresia) Rudnitski, sister-in-law Vivian Buchinski, brother-in-law Wayne Yasinski, and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. A family interment will take place in the Saltcoats Cemetery.
Eileen had many cherished pets over the years, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Eileen’s memory can do so to the Yorkton SPCA or an animal rescue of their choice as gifts of remembrance.
