On Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 Holly Maureen Tait peacefully passed away in Edmonton, Alta. at the age of 69.
Holly is survived by her son Chris (Sherry); grandsons, Luckas, Zacharias, Maxamillon, Damian and Mason; and her daughter
Alana. Also, by brothers, Dale (Barb), Hamilton (Margot), Darryl (Deb); and sister, Roxena (Ken); as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and a grand-niece and nephew.
Holly was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Saskatoon, Sask., the second child for Garth and Aurillia Tait. The family moved to farm in the Langbank, Sask. area when Holly was eight, where she remained helping with the family and farm until leaving for university in Winnipeg where she obtained her four-year degree BA in Psychology/English with honors. She went on to work for the Children’s Aid Society in Winnipeg as a social worker, and then worked as a school psychologist for the Frontier School Division, travelling to 32 schools in Northern Manitoba.
She married Al Davis in 1978, and enjoyed raising her family while volunteering for various organizations including Boy Scouts, Girl Guides and Community Club. She went on to obtain her teaching certificate and Special Education degree through night school while living in St. Albert.
Holly lived in Taber and then Lethbridge, working at various jobs until settling in Edmonton to be near family.
At Holly’s request there will be a small family service held at the farm at a future date.
If so desired contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Holly.
