Finding that perfect gift - Visitors at the Langbank Craft and Trade Show last weekend found a wide variety of unique options that allowed them to get a good start on their Christmas Shopping.

Visitors to the Langbank Craft and Trade Show had the opportunity to make substantial progress towards completing their Christmas shopping last Saturday, Nov. 5.
Gayleen Gurr (event organizer) says that a large number of people from the area came out for the event.
“We had about 200 people come out for the show. I know that there were a lot of people here from the area (Moosomin, Wawota, Whitewood, Kennedy and Kipling). Many of them were folks who have come to the show before. But there were also some first-time visitors, which is great!”
Gurr says that the show proved to be successful for both the vendors and the community.
“The feedback I received from the vendors indicated that generally they had a good day. People were thinking about Christmas and they found a lot of really great gift ideas here!
“The final numbers haven’t been tallied yet. But thanks to the support we received from the community and our vendors, along with the help of the volunteers who provided the lunch and helped make all this happen. I’m sure that we raised a significant amount for our Recreation Center.”
She notes that the event also provided a welcome opportunity for people to come together and enjoy the day.
“People were so happy to have the chance to come out for something like this. There were a number of people who spent time sitting in the lobby area, having lunch together or just visiting.
“There was also a really good ‘mix’ of people at the show. I saw little people and teenagers as well as parents and grandparents. Overall, it was just a really nice community event!”
