Rare triplets - Mark Beutler of Whitewood found a surprise when he checked the calving barn in the morning last Thursday, Feb. 3, where triplets had been born unassisted between checks! The cow is a 5-year-old Simmental cross cow and the calves were sired by a purebred Simmental bull. All are healthy and doing well. Two local area vets said that neither had heard of a set of triplets being born unassisted and all alive. Pictured with the calves are Mark and Jennalee’s boys (l-r) Ryder, Jace and Nash.
