Ochapowace wildfire - Firefighters from three different fire departments were dispatched to a wildfire on the Ochapowace First Nation on Oct. 16. The fire, fueled by strong winds, burned approximately 270 acres of grassland and bush. It took firefighters almost eight hours to bring the fire under control, which was achieved only after heavy equipment created a six-kilometre fire berm.
