This issue marks the final issue of the Whitewood Herald, which will merge with the Grenfell Sun Express for the Aug. 11 issue. The Herald, which has operated under the same name since it's first issue on March 30, 1893, has published nearly 6,000 issues under the single title. Publisher Chris Ashfield holds the first issue of the Herald.
