It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jake Reihl of Indian Head, Sask. at the age of 87 years. Jake was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Ruth, on June 15, 2024.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Tim (Lisa), Steven (Donna-Lee) and Tammy (Todd); grandchildren, Railene (Mike), Daniel (Jennifer) and Hayden (Ashley); and great-granddaughter Hannah. Jake is also survived by his sisters Christine and Hilda; brothers-in-law Mike and Ray (Doreen) and sister-in-law Marlene; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jake was a great storyteller and would always share his life story with anyone who had the time to listen. Jake loved his family deeply and was very proud of each of their achievements. He missed Ruth terribly after her passing and we believe he died of a broken heart. We know he is where he wanted to be – alongside Mom in eternal peace.
The family would like to thank Ron and the crew of the Indian Head EMS for their care and compassion after Jake’s passing.
As per Jake’s wishes, a private family interment has taken place.
