The family of the late Darryl Germaine Bartok (Dubreuil) sadly announce her passing on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Kipling Integrated Health Care Centre, Kipling, SK. She was born on May 6, 1947, the second of three children born to Paul and Germaine (Hurion) Dubreuil of the St. Front district.
Darryl will forever be remembered by her husband Louie Bartok; two daughters, one son and 11 grandchildren; Maria Bartok (Murray Haug) and their sons, Dylan, Mathew and Christopher of Yorkton, SK; David Bartok (Nicole) and their children, Tyler, Hayley, Ian and Cody of Broadview, SK; Erdine McDonald (Rob) and their children, Tucker, Chance, Brooklynn and Jessica of Canwood, SK; brother Gene DuBreuil and sister-in-law Veronica Bartok; as well as her nieces, nephews and friends.
Darryl was predeceased by her parents Paul and Germaine Dubreuil; her parents-in-law Louis and Anna Bartok; sister Paulette Dubreuil; sisters-in-law Gayle DuBreuil, Anne Reiss (and her husband Peter); and brother-in-law Steve Bartok.
Darryl married Louie Bartok on Oct. 20, 1973 in St. Front, SK. They moved to Louie’s family farm between Lestock and Dysart, SK and raised their family there. In their later years, they sold the farm and bought a home in Broadview, SK later moving into the Broadview Centennial Lodge.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Kipling Integrated Health Care Centre for caring for Darryl and Louie while Mom was a patient and to all the staff at Broadview Centennial Lodge for their kindness, support and wonderful care shown to Mom during her stay there.
The funeral mass was celebrated in Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Broadview, Sask. on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. by Rev. Tom Mandapaphil. The interment followed in the Broadview Cemetery.
