Date of Death: April 27, 2024

Calvin Robert Hosler was born on April 10, 1958, the youngest son of Ethel and Alfred Hosler. He grew up in Whitewood, SK, where he was very active in many sports and made many friends along the way. He enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, coaching and playing football and a good game of crib, while enjoying a cold beverage. After receiving his Millwright trade certification, Calvin started working at Regina’s IPSCO Steel mill until 1998 when he was put on permanent disability due to epilepsy complications. Cal underwent brain surgery in Montreal in July of 1998 and never fully recovered; this started a downward spiral with his mental health. He spent the last 12 years in the care of Parkridge Centre in Saskatoon, where he passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Calvin is survived by his siblings, Jean, Elaine (Bob), Lyle (Donna) and Jack; his children, Tianna (Cory) and Deagan, and their mom, Joan; and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will take place May 14 in Whitewood.
Arrangements entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville and Whitewood.
