Stolen semi destroyed by fire - A smoldering melted pile of metal was all that was left of a semi trailer unit after two people from Ontario stole the vehicle while outrunning police, kidnapping the driver in the process. Police from Manitoba and Saskatchewan were involved in the Sept. 29 chase, which came to an end on Highway 1 just east of Whitewood.
