Janelle Leanne Willoughby, age 47, of Indian Head, Sask. passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Janelle was born on Oct. 7, 1974 in Ponoka, Alta. She grew up on a farm outside of Rimby with her parents and three sisters. She went to school in Crestomere for several years before moving on to high school in Ponoka.
She met her husband Mark in Ponoka in 1992 and they married in 1993. She had her first child in 1993. They later moved to Sintaluta, Sask. in 1995, where she had two more children. She started working for the Credit Union in Sintaluta until they closed, then moved to the Credit Union in Indian Head. In 2013 she moved to Indian Head.
Throughout the years she did lots of volunteer work. The most prominent ones being her work with Forever Friends of Hope, Girl Guides and music festival.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Don and Peggy McLaren and Anne and Fred Sachs. She is survived by her husband Mark; her daughters, Steffanie, Pamela and Breanne (Brandon); granddaughter Alice; parents, Don and Lois; sisters, Shayna (Dean), Leah (Graham) and Angela (Derek); father and mother-in-law, Terry and Wendy; sister-in-law Cindy; brother-in-law Duane (Alicia); and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many.
A funeral service was held in the Indian Head Memorial Hall on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2 p.m. with officiant Rev. Koshy David. Interment will be held at a later date in the Indian Head Cemetery.
