Paul Sandor of Kennedy, SK and late of Broadview, SK, died on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 at the age of 91 years.
Paul moved from his family’s home in the Glentworth area as a teenager and started working on various farms in the Kipling area. He joined the Army – Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry – with Special Force service in Korea – coming home wounded in 1952. He came back farming at the George Diebold farm near Kennedy, eventually purchasing the land and Hereford cattle. Always a hard worker and good provider, he loved to joke around and he loved to tease.
Paul was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Zita (Diebold/Mile); and parents, Paul and Irma Sandor. He leaves to mourn his passing: his sister, Mary Kohl; Zita and Calvin’s children: Lois (Bob) Brickley, Jean (Lanny) Sostorics, Tara (Doug) Wilhelm and Alan (Amy) Mile; grandchildren: Lora (Andrey) Mazur, Linc (Dee) Brickley, Mark (Deyaliz) Sostorics, Colleen (Ken) Rumsey and Karen (Rob) Baron; great-grandchildren: Balin and Kira Mazur, Renn and Sybil Brickley, Dagny Sostorics and Luke and Grace Zita Rumsey; and also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Ann R.C. Church, Kennedy, SK on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Felipe Faustino. Immediately following the mass an interment for Paul and Zita will be held in the St. Ann R.C. Parish Cemetery, Kennedy, SK.
