Frederick James Appleton of Yorkton, SK passed away at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at the age of 79 years.
Frederick was born on April 29, 1938 to Fredrick William Appleton and Mabel Belle Banin of Whitewood, SK.
He was a very kind, easygoing, gentle man who enjoyed life and found the best in everyone. He was a loving husband to Carol, and wonderful father of six children.
Besides his family, Frederick also loved farming, gardening and music.
Frederick is remembered by his loving wife of 45 years, Carol Appleton (nee Churi), his six children and spouses, Kevin, Fred (Bev), Doug (Lorna), Curtis (Tammy), Sharon (John) and Leeann (Thomas); his 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Frederick is predeceased by his parents, as well as his sister, Doreen (Alex).
A memorial service will be held in Whitewood, SK at the United Church at 2 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at the Legion Community Hall on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.
