McLELLAN – It is with profound sadness that the family of Lindsay Joy McLellan, of Melville, Sask., announces her sudden passing on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 at the age of 45 years.
Lindsay was predeceased by her partner, Jodie Kozey; mother, Joyce McLellan; uncle, Ron Penner; grandmother, Verna Dewar; and grandparents, Jim and Gladys Penner.
She leaves behind to mourn
her passing: son, Gabriel; father, Robert McLellan; brothers, Doug (Patricia), Bobby (Leona), Greg (Mary); and sister, Tracy (Pat) Schmidt; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Laura, Carson, Ben and Kate; aunts, Joan Penner, June McLellan and Betty Penner; cousins, Lesli (Richard) Brayshaw and their sons, Tanner and Nick, Don (Carolyn) McLellan and Maureen Bray.
Lindsay was born July 26, 1970 in Saskatoon. She received her primary schooling at North Park School and attended Mount Royal Collegiate for high school. She spent most of her young life in Saskatoon before moving to Melville with her partner Jodie, and infant son, Gabriel. She remained in Melville after Jodie’s passing in May of 2013. Lindsay took great joy in visiting her son, Gabriel, in Regina as often as she could. She was involved in the church community in Melville, enjoying the fellowship and the friends that she made there. Lindsay loved keeping tabs on her favourite celebrities and enjoyed bending the ear of anyone who would listen to her talk about them. She was a loyal friend to those who showed her kindness.
We, the family, are comforting ourselves with the thought that Lindsay is finally reunited with our mother who she missed so terribly since we lost her in 1978.
Lindsay’s memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home, Melville. Interment will take place at a later date following a private family memorial
in Saskatoon.
Those wishing to make donations in Lindsay’s memory to the Health Foundation Mental Health Division or Gabriel’s Care Home, Ranch Ehrlo Society, may do so through Matthews Funeral Home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
