VEWCHARUK – Juliet Anna Marie Vewcharuk went into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at the age of 67 years, two months. Most people usually called her Julie by preference.
Julie was born on July 31, 1948 in Winnipeg, MB.
She was predeceased by her father, Frank; and her mother, Anne (nee Sawatzky) Schalla; along with her granddaughter, Twyla May Dyck.
Julie married Alex Vewcharuk on Feb. 13, 1968. A mother to three adult children: Loretta (John) Dyck, Tyson Vewcharuk and Marcia Vewcharuk. A grandmother to Robin, Kathryn, Andrew and Phillip Dyck. Julie was a sister to: Marilyn (Ken) Henschel, Lorna Putchsker and Tomi (Gerald) Bowker. An aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Julie, despite her health challenges, continued to have a strong faith, sense of humor, found tranquility in nature, music, books, gardening and jokes with family and friends. She knew how to embrace her precious moments here with lasting memories. Julie also loved to write poetry as her way of journalizing life trials, joys and blessings for everyone to enjoy reading and know her in meaningful ways. Poetry was Julie’s retreat from her health challenges as a way of dealing with pain.
Julie was raised on a mink farm and went to a one-room school. Julie was a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, wife, niece, mother, grandmother, friend and a servant to the Lord.
Julie will be cherished and lovingly remembered by her sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, husband, children, grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Julie was a long-term resident in Ituna since May 23, 2014 due to deteriorating health. Julie will no longer have suffering and pain here on Earth, but have eternal life in Heaven having a cup of tea with the Lord. In our memories and heart she’ll always be our blessed one. Good bye! Halleluia Halleluia! Peace in Heaven.
