Reid, Lloyd REID – Lloyd Reid of Melville, Sask., entered his eternal rest after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, July 20, 2015 with family at his side at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 54 years of age.
Lloyd Reid was born on Aug. 31, 1960 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Melville, a son to Allan and Delphine (nee Maccan) Reid. Lloyd grew up north of Melville and received his education at Runneberg School, St. Henry’s School in Melville and completing his education at Melville Comprehensive.
Lloyd married Dana Molnar and was blessed with two children, Brayden and Michaela.
He enjoyed snowmobiling and was a member of the ShowStopper’s Club and would repair the snow groomer when it needed repairing. Lloyd was employed at Peter’s Farm Equipment, and while working there he went to Saskatoon to school and completed his certificate for heavy-duty mechanic. Upon finishing his schooling he worked for Peter’s Farm Equipment, Stan’s Mobile, worked for Allan and Lauretta Schweitzer and Good Spirit Bus Garage. He then took his career on the road with his business, Reid Repair, and contracted out to Carmacks
Construction.
Throughout his life he enjoyed spending time with his children and hobbies of fixing everyone tractors, cars, trucks, equipment, sleds and bikes. He also enjoyed playing ball, fishing, arm wrestling and took Brayden and Michaela and drove to Disneyland.
Predeceased by his father, Allan; and brother, Tom.
Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Brayden and Michaela of Melville; their mother, Dana of Melville; his mother, Delphine Reid of Melville; his siblings, Gwen (Garry) Shankowsky of Pelly, Ken (Pat) Reid of Warman, Keith (Cynde) Reid of Regina, and Grant (Jo-Anne) Reid of Melville; sister-in-law, Kathy Reid (Randy Weber) of Melville; as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Arrangements were by Bailey’s Funeral and Cremation Services, Melville.
