Dorothy Florence Smart, of Regina, SK., passed away and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Reginald Smart; parents Robert and Ruth Bell; brother Henry Bell and sister-in-law Pauline Bell. Dorothy is survived by her sister Marie (Sandy) Milne; children: Larry (Ruth), and their children Sheldon (Andrea) and Darren (Margot); Linda (Sam) Beutler, and their children Dallas (Leah), Arlene (Robert) and Arvelle (Wayne); Dale (Lynn), and their children Tara (Nick), Shanna (Ryan), Janelle (Ken) and Derek; 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a faithful long time Baptist Church member first at Moosomin and later at Westhill Park Baptist Church in Regina. A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at the Moosomin Baptist Church, Moosomin, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, April 7th, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dallas Beutler, officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International in Canada, P.O. Box 3619, Stn. Main, Guelph, ON., N1H 9Z9 or to a charity of your choice in memory of Dorothy. A private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family greatly appreciates the care provided to Dorothy by Heather and staff at the Autumn Personal Care Home following her relocation to Whitewood, the superb support and loving care provided by Muriel and staff at the Whitewood Community Health Centre. Dorothy is now alive in God’s presence.
