Samuel “Sam” Preiss passed away peacefully at the Whitewood Community Health Centre on June 12, 2014 at the age of 87 years, following a courageous battle with cancer. Sam was predeceased by his father Adolf and his mother Otillie, late of Broadview, SK, his brother Herman (Getrude) of Kingsville, ON and his sister Helen (Ed) Wolf of Regina, SK. He leaves to mourn and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Elsie of 66 years, his children, Erika (Ronald) Driedger of Beaverlodge, AB, granddaughter Karen (Robert) Lundberg of Calgary, AB, and great-granddaughter Gillian; Benjamin (Leanne) Preiss of Saskatoon, SK, grandsons Tyrell (Stephanie)Preiss, Bradie (Jennifer) Preiss and Cody Preiss; along with nephew, Donald Wolf and niece
Darlene Wolf of Regina, SK. The funeral service was held Friday, June 20, 2014 at Whitewood Evangelical Missionary church with interment in the Whitewood Cemetery. Donations in Sam Preiss’s memory may be made to the Whitewood Community Healthcare Centre, the Whitewood Evangelical Missionary Church or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Whitewood.
